Good sushi. The prices are expensive compared to similar quality sushi I have had elsewhere. Their menu really highlights the specialty rolls, but they do have classic rolls as well.
What a find!! We sat at the sushi bar and asked the chef to make us his specialty.. We learned his name to be Manny and he created 3 Chefs Choice Rolls that were as beautiful as they were tasty..(pics don't do them justice) The owners were awesome too; super friendly and inviting, making us feel like we were in their home & kitchen. Great vibe all around. We'll definitely visit again when in Riverside. Thank you Alvino, Camillo & Manny (sorry for misspelling) :)

We went with reservations. We were seated right away. Host and waiter were very attentive. Food came out timely. The restaurant was nicely decorated and not so loud.
Decided to try downtown sushi. We sat at the bar and had a great experience. Ruhdi was super nice and made some amazing rolls for us. The place was clean and had a cool ceiling decor. Highly recommend!
Needed a place to grab dinner close and quickly before we caught a show at the Balboa theater. Downtown Sushi was conveniently across the street so we decided to give it a shot. It was pleasantly quite tasty! We had starter soup and some yummy entrees, mine being the short ribs, not entirely what I pictured but still great! We sat on the porch with heaters and had great service. The decorations inside the restaurant you can tell are from a previous business, you can tell it doesn't really match the vibes but honestly I enjoyed everything.
The rolls we had were well made, delicious and were large for a roll. The service was quick and friendly. Seems based on the decor that this might have been an Italian restaurant before. Walls and ceilings are adorned with fresco paintings. Music is hipster. Love it here for the food, atmosphere and people watching with a table by the window. We'll be back.
